Our first view of the Ashley Inn was a delight - a lovely place we had booked unseen. That, however was just the beginning. We stepped into a charming, airy, flower-filled home presided over by the ever thoughtful and friendly Fred and Janet and their attentive staff. First, it was the best out-of-the oven cookies and iced tea, lots of helpful information on everything from bike rentals to an island sail, and, most of all, a very pretty, light, nice sized room. In the morning we awoke to a sumptuous breakfast (Janet in toque at the stove) in the garden, the New York Times on the table, and a heavenly sunny day.
We heartily recommend the Ashley Inn and feel confident others will be as pleased as we were.
