This year The Harbor View Hotel extends a very special holiday welcome for all ages during Christmas in Edgartown, December 9-11.

A Warm Welcome Awaits at the Harbor View Hotel
On Friday at 2 pm the doors to the magical Teddy Bear Suite, sponsored by Point B Realty, open to reveal dozens of teddy bears in holiday-inspired attire.  Teddy bear theme books will be available for children to read.  Children will love the fanciful assemblage and the Suite provides wonderful opportunities for photos that parents will cherish for years to come. Teddy bear raffle and donations to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Martha's Vineyard add to the fun. The display will be available for viewing from 2 - 8 pm. on Friday, 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday.

Harbor View Hotel will participate in Christmas in Edgartown's always popular Inn Tour from 2-4 pm. This event repeats at the same time on Saturday afternoon. Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate will be served at the Harbor View on both occasions.

Also on Friday, from 4-6 pm, take a break from holiday shopping; stop in at the Harbor View for a screening of  Children's Christmas movies in at the Hotel's the Menemsha Room.  While you're  there, take a moment to have your photo taken with Santa from 4-7 pm to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. 

Traditional Lighthouse Lighting Celebrated
If you find yourself downtown come nightfall, just hop aboard the horse and carriage carrying holiday revelers to and from Harbor View and the mini park on Main St from 5:30 and 7:30 pm. But don't be late, at 5 pm the darkness comes alive as The West Tisbury Congregational Church Hand Bell Choir plays Christmas carols on the Hotel's beautifully decorated porch. Indoors, Water Street’s bar will offer holiday inspired cocktails. Complimentary holiday cookies, hot chocolate and cider will also be available along with MV Museum display items. Eric Johnson Entertainment – keyboard and vocalist set the mood with holiday songs.

Across the way, the annual Tree Lighting at the lighthouse takes place at 6:30pm.  Finally, settle in for  Christmas movies in the Menemsha Room screening from 7-9 pm. Holiday cocktails will be available for purchase.

Shop, Sip, Celebrate
On Saturday December 10 start the day at the Arts & Crafts Festival 11 - 4 pm in the Chappy Room at Kelley House. Here,  unique items handcrafted by Island artisan’s  will help shorten your gift list  with its offerings of paintings, soaps, baby clothes, knitwear, jewelry, pottery and more.  The annual Christmas in Edgartown parade, Chowder Contest, tree lighting and more--- are all just steps away on Main Street. Both Henry’s and the Newes from America Pub will be contestants in this year’s Chowder Contest, so be sure to drop by for a  taste!

Wrap up your Christmas in Edgartown experience on Sunday morning at the Harbor View with its Grand Holiday Brunch being served from 10 am- 2 pm.  Jeremy Berlin and Eric Johnson will be performing classic jazz standards along with some holiday music during brunch service Omelet station, salad bar, raw bar, desserts and much more.
