Hassle-Free to MV

Travel to Martha's Vineyard


Starting your travel from NYC?  USAir (LaGuardia Airport), JetBlue (JFK Airport), Delta (JFK Airport) and the SeaStreak ferry all offer NY-MV travel.   Peter Pan/Bonanza bus lines departing from the Port Authority bus terminal provides year round service NY - Woods Hole.  Passengers can pick up the Steamship Authority (SSA) Martha's Vineyard bound ferry directly across the street from the bus' last stop in Woods Hole. There is also direct Cape Air service from White Plains, NY to MV.  Jet Blue also offers service via a Cape Air connection in Boston .Travel to Martha's Vineyard 

Options from NYC through Boston include The Fung Wah and Lucky Star bus lines departing hourly from Canal/Chrystie Streets in Chinatown, the Bolt Bus departing from 34th St & 8th Ave by the Tick Tock Diner in NYC and Boston-bound Greyhound and  Peter Pan/Bonanza buses that leave from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (42nd St & 8th Ave.).  You can also take the Amtrak train (Penn Station @ 31-33 Sts. & 7th & 8th Aves.) serving the NYC to Boston route.

Once you arrive in Boston, the Peter Pan/Bonanza bus serving  the Logan Airport/Boston/Woods Hole route will take you the remainder of the way (about 1 1/2 hour) to the SSA ferry in Woods Hole.This is the only bus option leaving Boston for the MV bound SSA ferry. 

Travel to Martha's VineyardAnother option is to fly from your home city to Boston and pickup a Cape Air flight to MV.  You may also arrange for private car service (limos & taxi) from the airport to Woods Hole, MA.

If your home city happens to be NYC you can purchase a through ticket from JetBlue.  You will fly JetBlue to Boston and then pick up your Cape Air flight to the Vineyard. Typically in the summer, JetBlue and Delta offer non-stop service to Martha's Vineyard from New York's JFK Airport.

There are also Cape Air  flights available from New Bedford, Hyannis and Providence that fly directly to MV.

Any Amtrak train route terminating at South Station in Boston will bring you within a block of the bus terminal where you can pick up your Peter Pan/Bonanza bus to Woods Hole.  The last stop is the Steamship Authority (SSA ) ferry terminal in Woods Hole which provides a relaxing 45-minute ferry trip across Vineyard Sound to Martha's Vineyard (choose to arrive in Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven).
