This October 16 -18, Bravo Top Chef and Season Five Finalist, Stefan Richter will headline the 3rd Annual Martha's Vineyard Food and Wine Festival in Edgartown.  This year's Fall Harvest celebration will host celebrity chefs, vintners and food experts from on-Island and off, each one eager to work their culinary magic on the best locally sourced fresh seafood, produce and meats. Come and enjoy a fabulous Fall weekend of wine tastings, food seminars, cooking demos and Grand Tastings set amidst a charming seaside village at a beautiful time of year on Martha's Vineyard. MVOL.com general manager Dawn Bellante-Holand will be introducing Chef/Owner Andy Husbands, of Tremont 647 & Sister Sorel fame and Author of "The Fearless Chef" at 2 pm at the Atlantic restaurant on Saturday, October 17th for' What Does A Tomato Taste Like?'

At this seminar, "Fearless Chef" Andy Husbands will share tips on creating boldly flavored American cuisine, with inventive global influences. His commitment to locally grown ingredients is reflected in his restaurant's menu, rewritten bi-monthly to showcase the freshest ingredients available. Chef Husbands will provide guests with a down-to-earth approach to cooking fantastic, daring meals. Tickets are $35 and available at the door

5:30 - 7:30 pm - Opening Cocktail Reception, Martha's Vineyard Museum, Edgartown
Celebrity chefs Stefan Richter and Andy Husbands will conduct cooking demonstrations while guests savor two flavorful dishes plus a refreshing fall salad. Festival Emcee Dan Michaud of Ruby Wines will pour and discuss complementary wines.  Proceeds benefit  MV Museum. $85 advance / $95 at the door

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17Martha's Vineyard Food & Wine Festival

11am & 12 pm - Oyster Flats Tours
Take a boat tour of the Oyster Flats with Sweet Petites Owner Jack Blake. A magical Vineyard experience! The 11am tour is followed by a tasting of oysters with six aromatic white wines at The Field Club, led by Dan Michaud of Ruby Wines. $60 / $20.

12 pm - 2pm - Food Seminars & Tastings, locations throughout Edgartown
Participate in a cornucopia of seminars and cooking demonstrations led by food experts and celebrity chefs. See website for details www.mvfoodandwine.com.

2 pm - 5 pm - Grand Tasting, MV Museum, Edgartown
The Martha’s Vineyard Museum will host the Grand Tasting. Distinguished island chefs, including Kevin Crowell of Detente, Christian Thornton of Atria, Anthony Saccoccia of The Grill on Main and Levon Wallace of Water Street will demonstrate dishes prepared with local, in-season produce, meats, and seafood, highlighting each chef’s distinctive style. Noted vintners will pour tastings and discuss their winery's philosophy with guests. Bravo Top Chef, Stefan Richter will demonstrate culinary tips and tricks plus guest celebrities and acclaimed cookbook authors, will conduct book signings.
$50 advance / $75 at the door

7:30 pm - Spanish Wine Dinner at Harbor View Hotel
Exceptional cuisine prepared with fresh, local ingredients combined  with attentive service and a stunning waterview location make the Harbor View Hotel a shining star of Vineyard dining. Executive Chef Levon Wallace has created a tasting menu featuring a bounty of native island produce, and meats & poultry from local, sustainable purveyors including Allen Farm, Morning Glory Farm and Whippoorwill Farm. Ruby Wines will complement his menu with special Spanish vintages.
$99 includes tax & gratuity.

Make your weekend even more special with a stay at the Harbor View Hotel located in the very heart of Edgartown. Their Food and Wine Festival package includes the 3-course wine dinner above, plus two-night accomodations in the recently renovated Governor Mayhew Building.
