Frisbee Golf on Martha's Vineyard

The Frisbee Golf Course on Martha's Vineyard is located inside the state forest on Barnes Road
near the airport. The couse now has 27 baskets, there is the original 18 basket course
and the new 9 basket red course that can be played.

The game is played starting at the tee boxes and throwing the Frisbee golf discs towards the baskets. There are white intermediate tee boxes or the longer blue tee box course. To play you use different Frisbee golf discs. Here a distance driver is used to maximize the length of shot.

As you get closer to the basket you use a putter. The distance
between holes ranges from about 150 to 400 feet.

Every Tuesday afternoon and Sunday morning the informal Frisbee Golf League meets. Anyone can play, you just have to show up with your Frisbees. You can play year round and in any weather.

There are some natural obstacles on the course. Here you need
to avoid hitting the tree trunks.

The goal of of the game is to get the Frisbee into the basket with
as few shots as possible. Most baskets are considered a par 3.

While on the course be sure to be on the lookout for poison ivy (especially on hole 12)
and be sure to check yourself for ticks.

Get ready to tee off at Hole 1!
