Co-owners Rachel Baumrin, Jeffery Kurth, Jr., and Michael Ryan are committed to supplying the island with environmentally friendly paint and cleaning products. Up Island Paint is proud to introduce to the island Mythic Paint, a non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, pet and people friendly product. The Mythic Paint Color Board is to your right as you enter the store, displaying the wide array of bright, luscious colors.
For your cleaning needs, they carry various eco-friendly products such as Meyers, Biokleen, and Seventh Generation. In a collaborative effort, they are providing an up-island outlet for Eco MV cleaning products. With the help of these products, whatever paint color you choose, your home will always be green.

A Space to Inspire
Overall, the beautiful storefront feels less like a hardware store and more like a clean, old-fashioned work room. Warm and welcoming, the white walls and high ceilings are made cozy by the glow of a wood pellet stove from Vineyard Alternative Heating. As you move further into the store, the wide array of paint supplies, tools and cleaning products are displayed neatly. Long rows of paint cans splash a rainbow of color throughout the back room where the stainless steel tinting machines are located, one exclusively for the non-toxic Mythic Paint.
Up Island Paint is located at 505 State Road in West Tisbury, where it shares its parking area with Citrine, and is open Monday through Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm, and Saturday 8am – 4pm. Call at 508-693-9977.
