In addition to traditional events including Saturday's much anticipated holiday parade, photos with Santa, and Chowder Contest, there will also be wreath making workshops, Christms Carolers and the 5th Annual cookie tasting contest. Or, visit Edgartown's historic churches and inns, resplendent in their holiday finery. While shopping, enjoy the Christmas Shoppers Luncheon offered at the Old Whaling Church, or indulge in wine, hot drinks and tasty treats, both sweet and savory offered by Edgartown's welcoming merchants.

Shoppers looking for that perfect gift can visit the Handmade from the Heart Sale at the Dr. Daniel Fisher House, the 18th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Show at the Edgartown School, the Elves Fair at the Federated Church and of course the one-of-a-kind Edgartown boutiques & specialty shops bursting with unique holiday merchandise. With every $25 store purchase win a raffle chance! The Minnesingers, once again, cast their magical spell at the historic Whaling Church, as they perform Holiday favorites for all ages on both Friday and Saturday.
26th Annual Great Chowder Contest
Stop by the mini-park to sample the island's best seafood & clam chowders and vote for your favorite from local restaurants, island chefs and even secret family recipes. Proceeds benefit the Red Stocking Fund.
Christmas in Edgartown: Fun for the Whole Family
Activities for kids include craft-making, a treasure hunt, and of course appearances and photo-ops with Santa. Local shops and other businesses greet visitors with cider, hot chocolate and treats. There are raffles, book-signings, horse & carriage rides, open houses at galleries, banks and realtors, as well as tours of Edgartown inns.
